Description: PRE-ELECTION SALE BEST PRICE ON EBAY PLEASE NOTE: THE SPARK MODE DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK PROPERLY. THE REST OF THE PEDAL FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. THIS PEDAL WILL BE SOLD AS-IS WITH NO RETURNS. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE. Up for auction is an overdrive to fuzz pedal. I know, it doesn't sound possible, but the Fulltone Catalyst CT-1 does exactly that. Depending, where the controls and toggle switch are set, you can go from a clean boost to overdrive, to distortion and into fuzz territory. It's true. Most of you know Fulltone pedal. They probably were one of the first of the "boutique" builders of effect pedals. They've been around a long time and Mike Fuller still produces a wide variety of highly sought out pedals. I've owned many and still own a few. Solid builds using quality parts. All made in the USA. All tone machines. See last paragraph for a more detailed description of this pedal. As previously stated, the Spark mode does not function. Not sure why. Your guitar signal still passes through, but there is no change in the sound or tone when in the Spark mode. The Flame mode and all other controls function properly. Cosmetically this is a pin head sized area of orange finish missing on one side and a couple of minor surface scratches. Fulltone has discontinued this pedal and no longer makes it. These pedals are somewhat scarce and can only be bought on the secondary market. Lots of info online and some really good you tube videos to watch. I urge you to check those out. I pack items up properly and I ship out quickly. I do use ebay's Global shipping for all international shipping. Please do not bid if you are not willing to use that service. Below is some additional info: There is a lot of confusion about just what the Catalyst is. Is it a clean Booster, an overdrive, a distortion, or a fuzz? The answer is all of the above. What does it do best? Clean Boost, non-compressed crunch tones (ala Jimmy Page, 70's Jeff beck) and non-compressed distortion/fuzz sounds, accent on non-compressed. Other unusual traits of the Catalyst are its tight low end and ability to give both flat EQ and accentuated Mid distortions simply by manipulating its 2 band EQ. Until the Catalyst only Fuzz Face type pedals truly cleaned up when you turn down the guitar's volume knob, but Fuzz Face pedals tend to get very bright for most players as you turn the guitar's volume down. Not the Catalyst, that's something that Jeff beck has recently noticed & embraced about the Catalyst. Catalyst can be a fuzz/distortion with toggle switch set to "Flame" position. Catalyst can be a phenomenal clean-boost, and overdrive as well with toggle switch set to "Spark" setting. It has something I came up with called Max-end-all 2 Band EQ, an excellent hi-cut with a great bass control having the proprietary ability to bring in incredible sounding midrange when the pot reaches around 3 o'clock on its rotation. Catalyst can be so raw yet can be so refined, and so musically useable that it can be confusing to those used to the standard fare "one trick ponies".
