Description: Wonderful Franklin Van Court ink wash drawing of an Illinois prison. An inmate and police officer can be seen. A highly unusual topic. WPA era. Dated 1934. Very well done. Size of the work is 10X8 inches. It is housed in a very dark brown wooden frame. Size with the frame is about 20.5X18.5 inches. Appears to be in excellent condition. Done on sketch paper. Very detailed. He exhibited in the 1930s at the Art Institute of Chicago but not much is known about him.
