For sale in this lot are three examples of this type of vintage electronics: Spelling Ace Model PS-99Released in 1987, the PS-99 was Franklin's first spelling computer, using technology from Proximity Electronics with data from Merriam Webster. You type in a word and the Spelling Ace will give you a list of probable matches -- ie, if your word is misspelled, it will tell you the list of words that are most likely to be the intended word. Spelling Ace Model SA-98AThis 1990 release includes all the functionality of the original Spelling Ace as well as a suite of games and other functions, including homophones, prefixes and suffixes. Franklin Talking Dictionary Model KID-1240This 2004 release provides a big leap forward in technology, including a broader range of word games and, most impressively, an early and effective voice synthesizer.
