Description: This original oil painting was done by Utah artist Frank Erickson. It is titled on the back, "Side Road to Alta". Alta, Utah is a popular winter recreation area in the mountains of Utah. The painting is on board. The image area inside the frame is 16 1/2" x 25". The board is 21 1/4" x 30" when measured from the back. With the frame it measures 22 1/4" x 31". It is signed in the lower left and dated 1967. The painting has been nicely framed and is in great vintage condition. Frank Erickson (1922-1989) was known for his impressionist landscapes. He also showed his work at the Phranque's Gallery in Salt Lake City. And he is listed in the Dictionary of Utah Art 1980.
