Description: Here are four (4) 12-ounce highball tumblers in the 'Christmas Tree' pattern, made by the Waechtersbach company, originally in West Germany. Waechterbach's Christmas Tree line was introduced in 1982 and continued in production until 2012. I don't know if these are pre-1990, but they were with a few pieces of Christmas Tree ceramics which were marked 'W. Germany', indicating that they were made before Germany's reunification in 1990 (and they started making wares in Spain and elsewhere, which supposedly weren't up to their previous standards - or so I was told long ago. In any event, these glasses are about 5-5/8" tall, and are about 2-3/4" in diameter. They hold close to 13 ounces when filled to the brim, so 'functional capacity' is probably about 11 ounces. All four are in great shape with no discernable wear or other issues. Cute little Christmas glasses that i'm listing just in advance of everybody's 'Christmas in July ' sales (anyway, I'm cleaning out my storage and these emerged from the hoard, so they need a new home ASAP).
