A little about Florence Nightingale and the Engraver Barry Stanton as follows:FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE: (12 May 1820 – 13 August 1910) was an English social reformer, statistician and the founder of modern nursing. Nightingale came to prominence while serving as a manager and trainer of nurses during the Crimean War, in which she organized care for wounded soldiers. She gave nursing a favorable reputation and became an icon of Victorian culture, especially in the persona of "The Lady with the Lamp" making rounds of wounded soldiers at night.BARRY STANTON:Is a British Designer, Engraver, Medalist, and Sculptor. He is known for designing various coins and medals, particularly during the later half of the 20th Century. Biography: Stanton was born in 1943 in Mansfield, England. After completing his education at the City and Guilds of London Art School, he has worked at various mints, including the Royal Mint, Pobjoy Mint and the Franklin Mint. During his career Stanton has designed coins for a number of countries and dependencies, including Fiji, Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Kuwait, Liberia, Malaya, and British Borneo, Somalia, Tonga, Tristan da Cunha, and Zimbabwe.
