Finely Carved Old Japanese Wood Boxwood Okimono - Nio Guardian - Kogetsu

Description: DESCRIPTION: A finely carved old Japanese wood, boxwood, Okimono of a Nio Guardian. Signed Kogetsu underneath. A nearly identical piece by the same artist, same signature, a little smaller, was sold on Jan.17, 2024, by Galerie Zacke of Vienna, Austria, for 600 Euro plus premium. That piece has chips/repairs & object in hand completely missing. Please see screen cap in the last photo. The photos with black background were taken indoor next to a window, natural light. The next set was under spot light. The last few photos were just natural light indoor. Hard to capture the color. The closest one is the 1st pic. Not as brown as the black background. Not as yellow as the spot light. Not as red as the indoor natural light. SIZE: Approx. 7.5 inches (19cm) tall. Weight about 9.4 oz. Shipping weight will be 2 lbs (just a little over 1 lb) CONDITION: Top half of the Dorje in his left hand lost. Tight age cracks in areas. The longest one is behind right arm full length. Dark color ones near the edge of the gown on the lower front & on the lower back. Multiple areas under the left arm to the bottom of the left ribbon. Also some very tiny/minute ones in diff. areas. Very small number of tiny/minute flea bites on edges/extremities. A very thin layer of white film, probably dust, all over. After cleaning/wiping/waxing, the wood color probably would be a little different. SHIPPING: Buyer please add a token $18 economy shipping, when insurance is already over $10.
