The name comes from its similarity to the canvas used in traditional military tents known as ‘shelter halves.’ These rain pants are fully lined with nylon and feature a roomy fit for ease of layering. The elastic waistband features a drawcord for added security. The lower legs are gusseted for donning over boots and are reinforced with a ‘kick patch’ double layer on the inner face.
