It’s Fewture Models Locust & Quasimodo, sculpted bythe late and great Yasushi Nirasawa and built and painted by Tom Gilliand in a Amazing Figure Modeler article in their special Fewture issue #18. It’s very rare to have a build up from an article, especially Amazing Figure Modeler! You just don’t see them come up for sale! Before Tom Gilliand was the creative director and head honcho of Sideshow Collectibles, he was working at the famous hobby store Kit Kraft, in Burbank California. Growing up in LA, I went to Kit Kraft a lot for model kits, paint and putty! They had everything! Tom was always super cool and would share helpful thoughts on paints to use and show what he was working on. The custom wood base even has a Kit Kraft price tag on it! I’ve had this in my collection for many years, I just don’t have the room to display it. My loss is your gain! This piece does need some TLC.AS you can see in the photos, the arm needs to be reattached.Also his knife needs a new tip.Lastly the accelerator grip on the right side has fallen off and needs to be reglued.It’s an easy fix. This is a BIG piece, especially for the garage kits of the time. It measures in at 14 inches tall (figure on bike) The wood base is 18 inches long x 10 inches wide The figure on its own comes in at 11 ½ inches tall.
