[ FEATURES AND DETAILS... ] Painting Size: 7" x 9½" Frame Size: 8" x 10½"This lovely original oil on linen portrait ... fabulously executed by a top-notch artist -- depicts an ethnic Turkmen gentleman in traditional attire.Little is known about the artist, Alish, other than he is known for painting these amazing portraits of ethnic Iranian people in the early-to-mid 1970s. Many were purchased and brought back to this country by Americans tourists visiting Tehran in the years prior to the Iranian Revolution.The painting is in its original solid-wood frame. The painting's title is penned to the back of the stretcher by the artist, and it still has its original paper tag from the Hayrapetyan Art Gallery in Tehran.
