Description: Measures approximately 12" from bottom of base to top of handle..about 6.5" across the base. The waxed section is approximately 5"x4". Genesy Electric Lantern Company railroad lantern, most likely from the 1920's based on the research we've done. Got it from a collector who said she had acquired it in Oregon, and that it supposedly had something to do with a series of deaths that had occurred along a rail line there in the 20's or 30's. Hubby doesn't remember full details, and most of our records have since been ruined in a flood. Has had it in his possession for around 20 years. This is one of the few that we've considered keeping. We even recently brought this into our home to display after pulling it out from storage. The first night we had it in the house both of our kids complained of nightmares, but couldn't remember of what. One of our more unique pieces, and kind of hate to see it go, due to how unique it is, but we've decided to go ahead and start listing some of our more unique and obscure boxes. We can't guarantee anything paranormal since spirits etc react differently to different people and environments
