Masthead, featuring Brer Bear (Song of the South) was redesigned in 1971 by Disneyland's newest art director, Carl Glassford (aka Guy Carleton Glassford Jr.; Nov. 18, 1942 - Nov. 10, 2021). Glassford was widely known as a talented graphic artist and designer during his years in Southern California. In 1989, Carl designed the official seal of the city of Mission Viejo, California.
