Developed to meet the punch and power required by Periphery bassist, Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood, the NG has served tours with the likes of Tony Levin (Liquid Tension Experiment), Josh Gilbert (Spiritbox) and Kyle Konkiel (Bad Wolves). As near to perfect as a modern rock bass gets. Anyone familiar with the Combustion will feel immediately at home with the NG. Having been through a long development cycle involving Periphery bassist Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood, the NG shares many of the same characteristics as the Combustion, including the body shape and general layout. However, the body wood is alder instead of the customary swamp ash of the Combustion, which is paired with a bolt-on maple neck and fingerboard. ‘Nolly had been touring and recording with two Combustions,’ explains Sheldon Dingwall. ‘He had given his custom Dingwall AB6 plenty of testing too. Our setups always include action, intonation, trem angle, and truss rod adjustments. If needed, we smooth out fret edges, address any nut or bridge shim issues, polish the frets, and condition the fingerboard. All work is completed by our experienced tech team who understand what today's players want from their instruments. If not otherwise requested our techs will setup each instrument to a comfortable medium/low action with minimal truss rod relief dependent on the instrument style.
