Difference between this one and the original? 1- The price, the original’s price fluctuates and varies in condition. Original masks fetch big bucks. 2- The original is flexible, this one is hard plastic. This reproduction is strong and will hold up, but if you step on it, hit it with a hammer or elbow drop it, odds are it will break. 3- The reproduction is 3D printed. So if you look closely you can see the plastic lines that build up layer by layer to create it. From a few feet away you can’t tell the difference between the two. 3d Printed in Black Plastic HOW TO CUSTOMIZE IT it is a simple process. 1. Lightly sand (be careful around spikes you don't want to sand those down) 2. To paint, you have to prime first. Once primed you can either spray with spray paint lightly, airbrush, or hand paint with acrylic paint. You can even paint the mask black and then paint the bumps (spikes) silver to match the outfits. 3. Add clear coat to protect the paint. All of these steps are optional but if you want a better looking mask this is how you would do it. If you just wanted to paint it remember to prime it first. The plastic does not hold paint well.
