Description: Here I have for sale a lovely 1st book club edition of C.S. Forester's Lieutenant Hornblower in hardcover and dust jacket published by Little Brown in 1952. The second book in the Hornblower saga series chronologically. The book is VG with moderately faded boards and gilt and moderate edge wear. Tight binding and clean, unmarked pages but for prior seller's penciled price on front endpaper. Some age dunning to front and rear endpapers and mild foxing. The dust jacket is VG+ with wonderful jacket painting by Andrew Wyeth. Some staining and chipping along edges. It is not price-clipped and is protected in mylar.
