This Dwarf Water Lettuce plant (Pista Stratioites) is a perfect addition to your aquarium! This plant is great for beginners and thrives in fresh water. It is great for snails, betta fish, and many other freshwater species! My betta loves to take naps in the leaves underwater, and my snails like climbing around the roots and leaves like a jungle gym! This plant is perfect for those who want a touch of natural beauty to their aquarium. It is also a great way to purify your aquarium water by absorbing excess carbon dioxide and ammonia! The water lettuce thrives in still water, so if you have a strong filter, it would be best to try and keep the plants away from the filter, they do not like being completely submerged in the water. The plants may be a little yellow upon arrival, because I ship in little bags of water and the leaves do not like being submerged in water for very long. But just plop them in your tank and they almost always bounce back to health very quickly! These lovely plants grow very fast! Two weeks after I got mine, I had double the amount! They grow new plants by sprouting a little plant attached to the bigger plant.
