Description: The Ram Air has gained 2+ mph on every car tested and as much as 4 mph on restricted larger ci motors. I have seen 1+ mph gains over others similar ram air kits. I have been making this ram air for over 9 years now after nothing on the market was large enough or designed properly to allow the most airflow to your engine. Couple myths other ram air companies try to claim is: It is made from aluminum it will hear soak and lose hp over a plastic intake. False the IAT (Intake Air temperatures) are identical to ambient outside air (yes I have tested this, I have a mechanical engineering background) Think of the top elite racing class for NA hp Prostock. They use aluminum intake manifolds, and try and squeeze every single hp out of their 1200hp engines. They do no use a plastic intake manifold cause it has no effect as air is traveling too fast to heat up and also this intake is cool to the touch. Another myth is the aluminum is weak and cheap. False it was choose because it is light and can also take a curb or speed bump hit without shattering into 100 pieces like other plastic ram air setups that stick right under the bumper. It will happen it is only a matter of time,i had this intake on my daily driver. With this aluminum intake you just bend it back into shape and it is completely 100% functional again. This kit by design is the best flowing kit on the market, all other kits keep the hood latch brace which serves little to no purpose besides blocking 30% of you potential air flow to your engine and robbing hp gains.Not only do I make this intake due to fellow racers wanting the gains/hp I had at the drag strip but I had this exact intake on my N/A (naturally aspirated) 346ci LS1 stock bottom end race car that went 9.82 at 135MPH with a 1.281 60ft.The kit is made from .040" thick aluminum and black epoxy coated. The aluminium construction keeps it very light with the racer in mind coming it at 2lbs total. Also users typically see 1-2 miles per gallon better fuel economy with this intake. It is a great bang for the buck picking up an honest 25RWHP in the 1/4 mile. Minor modification are required for proper fit of the kit. The ram air will work with the front bumper support in place as well as the windshield washer reservoir. AC system will need to be removed.
