Chopin / Gieseking - Barcarolle In F Sharp Major - 1940 12" 78 rpm 71026-D RARE

Description: Condition Description: EX, pre-owned condition. Play tested (AT LP1240).No used record is perfect, whether the flaws are visible inaudible/audible scuffs, scratches, or fingerprints and possibly background noise of varying degrees. Some minor warping may exist that will not affect playback. I do my best to disclose the flaws that I do see or come across but please be aware there are times where they may be missed. This record looks and sounds excellent. Very clean and nice sounding. There are only a few very minor scuffs and very light scratches. Record has a very minor warp that does not affect my playback or audio quality. Record is very clean and shiny. Label & Catalog Number:Columbia Masterworks - 71026-D Artist: Walter Gieseking Songs:Barcarolle in F-Sharp Major, Op. 60 Notes:Very uncommon 12" Shellac record. Inner Sleeve:New 12" rice paper backed poly sleeve. (Hudson Hi-Fi) In most cases these are very old shellac (pre 1950) records so please be aware that some records may not be completely flat but will be playable in regard to warp. All 78s will be shipped inside a plastic inner sleeve, however there may be cases where some records are too large to fit the appropriate sleeve. If this is the case, we will protect the record as best as possible to ensure no damage is caused during shipping. In the case of book sets, the records will not have plastic sleeves added around them, rather they will be put inside the sleeves in the book. In all scenarios, the shipping packaging will be very high quality, secure, strong packaging to ensure your record(s) end up in your hands in as good of condition as they left. We have very high standards to make sure our customers are happy with their purchase. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ BELOW TO UNDERSTAND HOW WE GRADEI do the best I can in sampling each record for quality of sound. Unfortunately I cannot listen to everyone all the way through but I do select a section of the album that appears to be the worst and makea judgement from that. That's not to say that it will be the worst quality of sound, but it will physically look like it should be. Please note that we are not a grading nor record collecting professionals. We use our best judgement using the grading system shown below. Please refer to the photos of each item to see the condition for yourself and ask questions if you have any. As an example; if there is an item that somebody might grade with a + or ++, we will give it the same grading, removing the +'s. ie. "VG++" becomes "VG" according to our system. Here are the general grading rules we use. Again, no + conditions will be applied: Mint - Sealed, assumingly a perfect record inside the sleeve. Excellent (EX) - The record shows some signs of having been played but there is no deterioration of sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and an occasional light scuff and/or scratch. Very Good (VG) - The record has obviously been played many times and has mild scuffs and/or scratches and displays lessening of sound quality. Good (G) - The record has been played so much the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated perhaps with some distortion and scratches. Fair (F) - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. Poor (P) - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. Bad (B)- The record is unplayable and might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler. eBay's item specifics grading categories will be used in this way:Recording Grading - The condition of the vinylSleeve Grading - On an LP it's the main outer sleeve. For a 45 it will be the paper sleeve. Inlay condition - This will be used for items that originally came inside the album; pictures, stickers, literature..etc. We do not mind taking specific photos based on your request. We'll do our absolute best to make sure you are happy with your purchase. Thank you! We try to describe each item as exact as possible. These items come from a smoke-free environment. Questions are always welcome. Please check our feedback and bid with confidence!
