Properties cited involved or mention the names of Hildebrand, Hendrickson, a Capt. Nuckolls, Owenby, Duffy, Dorris, Savage, and numerous other names; likely particular or familiar in origin to the locales mentioned. Miles S. Draughon, auctioneer, is seen in nineteenth century government documents. In 1878 Draughon sought relief for payments due when the Eighth Wisconsin Battery was quartered in Nashville during the American Civil War, between late December, 1864 and May, 1865.
