Description: This is one beautiful and rare camera. It was made by Certo Camera Werk in Dresden German from 1935-42. It was called the Certotrop (model XVI) in Germany and when it was sold in the US by Burleigh Brooks Inc. in Englewood, NJ it was named the Bee Bee. The camera opens easily by pushing at metal button (that looks like a screw) on the top of the side of the camera. The lens pulls out and then the wheel on the side of the metal lens board winds the lens out to a double extension bellows. When fully extended the lens is 8 1/2 inches from the back of the camera. In the flashlight in a dark room test, the bellows appear to be light tight. The lens is a Carl Zeiss Jena and it looks to be in good condition without scratches or fungus. It is a tessar f:35/10.5 cm lens. The lens can be moved up and down and right and left. The Compur-Rapid shutter goes from 1 to 1/400 of a second plus T and B. The sound of the shutter clicking gets faster as the settings are changed but I have no way of knowing if they are correct. The aperture opens and closes nicely. It goes from f 3.5 -22. The back opens to reveal a 6 x 9 cm piece of glass which is chipped on the inside but intact (see picture). The back of the camera is easily removed. The handle is in very good condition. There are three tripod screw receptacles. The leather/leatherette covering is is good condition with some wear on the bottom of the camera. This is an absolutely beautiful camera. I can not test it so It is being sold as a display piece and not a working camera.
