Description: These are extra thick and long cuttings! Five cuttings per order; the more you buy, the lower the price per cutting. This is a sweet variety with white flesh. Both leaves and roots of cassava are edible after cooking, allowing harvests nearly year-round in warm climates. The swollen roots (3rd photo) are ready to harvest any time after about a year of growth. The leaves and roots are generally boiled and seasoned to taste. They may also be added to soups, stews, casseroles and other cooked dishes. Cassava should be cooked before eating due to hydrocyanic acid in the plant. Cooking neutralizes the acid. There is no need to change the water during cooking as with some other types of cooked greens. Roots form very fast and thick after planting (last photo). All of my products are grown chemical-free!
