Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Zoom Lens Image Stabilizer with Lens Hood

Description: The Canon EF 28-135mm Ultrasonic IS Lens is a versatile full-frame, wide-angle to telephoto zoom lens with macro capability. Its maximum aperture of f/3.5-5.6 performs well in low light, especially in tandem with its built-in image stabilization. Together, those features allow for good low-light performance and accurate autofocus. The lens is designed for Canon EOS cameras with EF lens mounts and has both auto and manual focus options. Its focal length range of 28-135mm makes it perfect for a wide range of photography situations. The lens is compact and weighs less than 20 ounces, making it easy to carry around. It can easily become your everyday lens; it was mine. An ultrasonic motor drives the autofocus. The macro capability does not compare to a dedicated macro lens; however it will focus as close as 1.6 feet and provide 0.19X magnification. With extension tubes the lens can achieve magnification over 1.0x. Please see photos 15 and 16, which were taken at minimum distance. CONDITION The lens shows a few rubs, as you might expect from a used lens. The lens hood shows more rubs and nicks, because when not in use, the hood is reversed and further protects the lens. The zoom ring operates through the entire range, but not uniformly smooth. I attribute this to a combination of age and the two-part zoom mechanism. Otherwise, I invite you to review the photos and ask any questions you have about the lens. INCLUDED Included with the lens are a multicoated Hoya HMC Super UV filter, a Canon EW-78B II lens hood, and original Canon front and rear lens caps.
