Description: New V3 CANnedIce controller is here! Now 10 in stock on 1/5/2024, with the other 15 at the my electronics mans house for commissioning when he gets a gap in his other work.Hello. I use these fantastic Eltek FlatPack power supplies in my RC/UAV charge case builds and thanks to the original guy that helped decode the Canbus data, I have been able to set the voltage required. The only problem has always been the need for Revision 3+ units ideally for me so that I can permanently set the output voltage and leave it at that, but now my electronics wizard has got involved again on something to compliment his excellent Eltek power PCB also available;FlatPack item number; 196025622692Front End Power PCB; 194518608979 So I present to you the CANnedIce V3 controller (first photo is of new V3 board design) which now features an ESP32, this gives us more room and currently we can control Eltek FlatPack/Front End as well as Huawei rectifiers. Others such as Vertiv will be added as time allows. With the addition of a separate power board this can control HP DPS common slot server supplies also for PSU failure protection when used with the RC/UAV iCharger DUO LiPo chargers. We have on-board Canbus controller, buck convert for up to 60 volts operation, I2C for the PCB mounted OLED display (this can be remote wired if preferred) and some other I/O pins we are going to expand with as time goes on. Currently we can use a strip or 20 NeoPixel LED’s to provide status information. We’ve also incorporated the contactor control components all on the one PCB now. The ESP32 provides WiFi connectivity and can work as an access point for direct monitoring of the data coming out of the Eltek, or can be connected to your WiFi network for more remote monitoring. The designer has built in OTA updateability which is handy to meaning once granted access to your CANnedIce’s web address we can push updates if made. Using the web interface the user can set a voltage output value, which is then updated regularly for pre-rev 3 units so it stays constant, but if the Eltek allows (Rev3+), the set voltage can be stored permanently. You can use the Serial monitor within Arduino which shows more data also, but this now requires a separate CH340 adaptor and special lead as we removed the USB port to put the contactor components on the one PCB. I have made a YouTube video of the original V1 controller in action, the V2 operates very much the same; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04EvLyR2TBA This V3 batch will just include the main PCB with OLED display fitted and snap off temperature sensor, leaving the customer to order any wiring and connectors themselves. Or I can provide these at extra cost when connecting to one of my power PCB's. Also please note details above are liable to change as I perhaps find better ways to explain the features of this device and if we add more functionality via firmware changes. I have put a longer dispatch time to aid myself if I need to order more OLED display etc as these sell, but will always endeavour to get your purchase out the door as quickly as possible. Thanks for looking and any questions please ask
