Description: Maker: This elegant set of 6 beautiful salad plates has the "trade mark" back stamp of A.A. Vantine, a New York importer of Asian goods that was established in 1870. Design: The pattern features raised gold dots on a design of green and pink arcs and stylized green leaves. The quality of the porcelain, with a faint blueish tint, suggests the set was produced in the early 1900s but that is not confirmed. Condition: Four plates are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or significant wear. There is light wear to some spots of the design. One plate has a shallow chip on the front near the edge and another has an old crack extending from a chip on the edge to the verge; the crack is more obvious on the back but can be seen on the front too. These are shown in the photos with the red arrows. Size: The plates are 8 3/8 inches wide. The set weighs 4 pounds 1 ounce. Please check all the photos very carefully – they are an important part of the description.
