ITEM DESCRIPTION: Here is a Beautiful & Ultra-Rare Antique Circa 1926 New/Old Stock Hand-Colored Photo-mechanical ‘Buzza Motto’ Print Featuring the Poem About Friendship titled, “My Wish”. The poet is unknown and the poem reads: My Wish Had I Aladdin’s lamp today, Or magic wishing ring That I could rub a little bit And get most anything. I would not wish that I were king, Or a multi-millionaire. But rather; I’d wish for friends like you Around me everywhere. About the Motto/Print: The publisher’s name/type, ‘A Buzza Motto’, appears printed lower-left in the corner (For: The Buzza Company [Craftacres] Minneapolis, MN, American Publishers, 1907-1942). The Motto Print still retains its original cellophane wrapper that has been protecting it this whole time, and is wrapped & lightly glued to the back of the piece, and it used to be adhered to another old backing stock, which had subsequently come loose at some point and is no longer with the piece, and there is some old brown/toned glue-residue swaths (from where cellophane is lightly glued) and six tiny old surface glue-dots from the backing stock (with a little surface paper residue too) evident on the back from where it had been attached to the other old backing stock. Please disregard any white surface glare on the cellophane wrapper from my hot photolights… The Motto Print is on light-medium weight cream-colored wove paper stock which has nice hand-coloring within the decorative motifs and various items on the desk. Size & Condition: The sheet size is 5-7/8” x 5”. The Motto Print is in Excellent Rare+ condition for its antique age with absolutely no color fade. This Print has been in one of our archive drawers amongst other lithos & prints since it was purchased by the Meibohm family and hasn’t seen the light of day in all this time and is as ‘Mint’ as any collector could hope to find in its original never-framed, New/Old Stock condition—simply beautiful! No damage at all on this lovely Motto print. This beautiful antique motto print has never been framed which is always more desirable to collectors since it has never been exposed to older non-archival materials, matburn or lightfade.
