Description: Pewter medal, dated 1798, from the UK commemorating Admiral Nelson's victory at the Battle of the Nile. This is an awesome piece of history and hard to find; however, it took a pretty grievous gouging hit to the portrait side of the medallion, erasing Lord Nelson's face, and is bent from that hit - additional damage all around the rim. Would that it was in better condition, it would be worth hundreds of pounds - however, offered here at bargain price commensurate with condition, for any history buffs eager to have a fairly chewed-up but historically significant 225+ year old medal from the Battle of the Nile!
