PRINT DESCRIPTION : This plain but handsome and commodious structure is situated outside the New Gate, and our engraving will afford a better idea of its general appearance, and the style of architecture adopted, than could possibly be conveyed by the most elaborate description. The arrangement of the interior affords every convenience both to the public and to the numerous officials employed pn the establishment, and the excellent order preserved on the arrival and departure of the various trains, presents a favorable contrast to the confusion which too often prevails on such occasions, both in England and on the continent. In the immediate neighbourhood of the Hamburg terminus is the Invaliden-Kirchhof, which contains the graves of Scharnhorst, Tauentzien, Pirch, Wiizleben, and many other brave Prussian soldiers, who fell in the war with France. A Corinthian pillar surmounted by an eagle, has been set up in the Invalids Garden, as a monument to the soldiers who fell in the unhappy civil conflicts in the streets of Berlin, in 1848 and 1849.
