Description: Presented is a beautiful wooden Victorian MINIATURE chest from the 1870s. This piece is made in a great Eastlake style and likely produced from oak wood. There is a lovely faux marble top and a detachable mirror. The drawers display great tongue and groove joints. Of the three drawers, the center drawer has writing on the underside and the interior. The writing is somewhat hard to make out, but we believe the interior to say “Owner Robert Sullivan”, while the underside reads “This was once my mother's dear mother”. This piece is in great overall condition. The glass mirror may be a replacement, but if so it was replaced a long time ago. The posts which hold the mirror into the chest fit well into the holes on the top, however they are a bit short and therefore would likely need to rest against a wall to keep from falling over long term. There are no breaks and no repairs.
