Description: Up for auction is a lovely pair of 14k white gold earrings with round sapphires set in them. The earrings are stamped 14k on the top. The backs are likely not original and are stamped 925. I am not a gem expert, but the nice blue stones do register as sapphires on a Presidium Gem Tester II. I do not know if the stones are natural or lab stones. Whatever they are, the stones are a beautiful deep blue color. Measuring the carat weight is tough, but the stones are just under 4mm in diameter, which means each one should be about .20 carats, and the total carat weight about .40 ct tw. The total weight of both earrings is 2.77g. These are not scrap. The earrings are 10.5mm wide and 17mm from top to bottom. These are from an estate purchase, and as a result, I do not know their age or origin.
