Description: NAVY SEAL / SWCC BASIC TRAINING COMMAND CPO MESS CHALLENGE COIN This coin is from BCT's CPO Mess and features the Inflatable Boat, Small (IBS), SEAL Trident, the new SWCC pin, and the colored phase helmets. The mottos of The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday and On time, On Target, Never Quit is also included on the coin. Both SEAL and SWCC candidates attend BCT for their selection phase. Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) and Basic Crewman Training (BCT) SWCC. BUD/S training pipeline has three phases. First-Phase of BUD/S is considered the selection phase of training where instructors push the candidates mentally and physically to find out who really wants to be there. Second-Phase is the dive phase where students learn the proper gear and safety procedures in order to operate in underwater operations safely and efficiently. Third-Phase of BUD/S training is the land warfare phase where students learn weapons, tactics, demolitions, and tactical procedures. BCT is the selection phase where candidates are trained, developed, and assessed. The focus of this course is on physical conditioning, water competency, teamwork, and mental tenacity. Candidates run, swim, and do calisthenics. They will participate in weekly timed runs, obstacle course evolutions, and swims in the pool, bay, and ocean. Candidates learn basic navigation and small boat seamanship. This course develops intelligent and highly motivated candidates who will perform under the most demanding conditions. Candidates advance to Crewmen Qualification Training upon completion of BCT. Note: The coin has never been circulated. Coins are in excellent condition unless otherwise specified.
