It is designed for use with tungsten or tungsten quartz halogen light sources, although other light sources may yield different contrast values. Handling the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper is straightforward. It should be opened only in a photographic darkroom, under the illumination of standard OC, red, or sodium vapor safelights. To ensure the best results, keep the safelights at least 3 feet from the paper and minimize exposure to safelights. The Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper can be processed in either trays or roller transport processing machines. It is compatible with any standard black and white photographic paper developer, with a recommended development time of 60 - 90 seconds at 68 Degree F/20 Degree C. After development, use a standard stop bath to halt the process and extend the life of the fixer. The paper should then be fixed in a standard fixing solution for 2-5 minutes at 68 Degree F/20 Degree C. Finally, wash the fixed prints in running water for 3-4 minutes. For optimal preservation, store the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper in a cool, dry place. For extended storage, a freezer can be used. In either case, allow sufficient time for the paper to warm up and avoid condensation.
