Description: Aquatic Milkweed Asclepias Perennis15 Seeds We LOVE to grow Milkweed! When a 'super-fan' of Chill Hill sent in White Swamp Milkweed seeds, we couldn't get them started soon enough! They grew great the first year and bloomed a little, but this year - they bloomed ALOT! This is usually a damp / moist milkweed variety, but we are having great success growing it in the dry sandhills. The flowers will start multiple heads and will continue to bloom through the season. By Fall, the plants will appear to die off, but will return next Spring. These seeds were harvested June 2024 Seed Starting Sow seeds when temps less than 85 Deg F Sprinkle seeds over exposed soil Lightly cover & keep moist Will spout in 3-4 weeks Some folks like to cold stratify milkweed seeds, but we have found it to not be necessary to sprout this variety. Also, all milkweed seeds will float so soaking overnight is not needed. Seeds are fragile and tend to rot if over-watered. Mixing sand with potting soil mix (up to 50%) will keep it free draining.
