Description: Item up for sale is a beautiful antique kitchen clock with no maker's mark that we can see. On the back panel of the clock is an old partial label taped into place that gives a name of "Xerxes". Item was found with key & pendulum and when wound this clock ran well for hours. The chime sounded on the hour and half hour mark with the hour mark chiming 4 times and sometimes once so chime function may need some adjustment or repair. Top of the clock casing shows an old repair horizontal crack line that has no give when touched. Dial shows surface wear, darkening and patina consistent with age and use. Item has a brass movement with brass alarm movement in the lower left of the interior. All metal shows tarnish and patina and could use a polish. Glass in the door shows no chips, cracks or breaks. Frame of the door shows a few spots with some wood filler present. Clock body as a whole shows some soiling and dust and could use a detail cleaning in the nooks and crannies. Item as a whole measures 22" top to bottom by 15" wide by 4-1/2" in depth. Gorgeous antique timepiece that comes fresh to the market. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
