A fabulous design printed in blue transferware with the central view surrounded by a delightful border of geese, hares, turkeys chickens, fish and partridge with portrait insets of key figures in the Ivanhoe tale on the rim. I have the following items from this Blue Transferware collection available: * 1 - Dinner Plate, "The Black Knight Exchanges Buffets with Friar Tuck". 10-3/8" Width. Backstamps: This piece has a printed blue "IVANHOE WEDGWOOD ETRURIA ENGLAND" and "E" marks. Additionally there is an impressed Wedgwood stamp. Finally there is an impressed date mark that is fairly illegible. It is possible the first mark in the sequence is a 3 which would date the piece between 1907 and 1923. Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. The gloss is great! There is light crazing on the underside of he rim. There is very light shelf wear to the sole. * 1 - Dinner Plate, "Front de Boeuf Extorting Silver From Isaac the Jew". 10-3/8" Width. Backstamps: This piece has a printed blue "IVANHOE WEDGWOOD ETRURIA ENGLAND" mark. Additionally there is an impressed Wedgwood stamp. Finally there is an impressed date mark that is fairly clear and seems to read "OKM". If that is read correctly that would date the manufacture of this plate to 1884. Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. The gloss is great! There is heavy tiny crazing on both sides of the plates with staining on the back. There is light shelf wear to the sole.
