No chips, cracks and very little scratches if any. (does have some aged dust). No key but pendulum is included.The clock does work, wind and keep time however the chime is off by an hour and I don't know how to correct that. (see video, it chimes 8 times but it is only at the 7:00 position) Measures 18" tall x 16".
