Description: This auction is for a pair of antique plates by Burleigh Ware Burgess & Leigh England Burslem Premier no. 657114 in the Mosaic pattern in Rust. c1910-1920. This Mosaic pattern has flower garland border around the front edge in colors of bright blue, rust, gold and green on a white background. RARE! Made in England Circa 1916 Gold/Rose/Rust/Blue Floral Design. Cream white center. One plate has light discoloration at front border and one plate has an old chip at back that is visible from front with discoloration at center. Crazing which only adds the the beautiful antique patina. Very Wabi Sabi! Measures approximately 7.5” diameter round. In excellent condition. Marked on bottom with handpainted numbers/initials in gold. And a partial mark at back edge of plate for the Burleigh Ware mark with number. From a smoke free home.
