Description: This Listing is for an Antique Hallmarked Meiji Era Patinated Bronze Okimono Japanese Bowl with a Lotus Flower and a small frog resting on a Lily Pad. This Art Nouveau design dark brown-patinated bronze Vide Poche has one of the lotus flowers rising on a coiled stem slightly above the top level of the tray. The Hallmarks are located on one of the lotus flowers serving as the base (see listing pic #6). We believe this Japanese Bronze Bowl dates to circa 1900. Despite the age, this exquisite example of Japanese craftsmanship looks Fabulous. Wear is minimal. The Bronze Patina is Dark, yet Vibrant. There only a small spots where light oxidation has occurred at all and most are marginally noticeable. But you should take a look at the Listing pics and be the judge. The Vide Poche measures 7 ½” inches long, 4 ½ inches tall, 4” wide. The Bowl is approximately 2 ½” inches deep. Let us know if you have any questions.
