Antique German Bisque Marseille 323 Googly Doll Original Germany A 6 /OM

Description: This 9" inch tall doll, circa the early 20th century, was manufactured in Germany by Armand Marseille. The doll has a bisque socket head and a five piece composition toddler body. The head has a closed mouth with blue glass googly eyes. She retains her original cardboard pate and blond mohair wig. The original body has a coat of gesso to prevent the staples from coming out down center front and center back. Over that, she has a doll color flesh paint. The head is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The back of the head is incised, “Germany // 323 // A6 / OM” The clothing is made of silk and designed by me. This doll is guaranteed to be antique as some of the googly dolls have been reproduced in current years. This is a particularly sweet googly with a wonderfully expressive face. She makes me smile every time I look at her. I have had her about 15 years. She is one of my favorite dolls.
