Antique, decorative hardcover scarce Freemasonic poetry book with decoratively gold gilded, black stamped and embossed cover and gold gilded and embossed spine face in overall very good condition. Book is externally very clean with some rubbing to the outer corners of the coverboards as well as the upper and lower outer edges of the spine. Book shows some minor discoloration to the brown buckram cloth here and there as well as a small superficial scuff to the lower lefthand quadrant of the front cover. Fore edges of the covers have a few minor rubs, nicks or bumps. Interior of the book is overall clean however at the gutter of the endpapers following the half title page is some very old and light water marks; from this page on to page 10 there is some partial detaching with the group of pages (which runs through the title page and to the induction section) still being connected to the binding by only the top binding string. Group of pages from 251 to 256 also is partially detaching but in this case only at the upper binding strings. Binding is well intact and the book is internally very clean aside for the aforementioned. Book is complete with all pages present. Book has a bit of a musty odor. Book totals 399 pages, measures approximately 10 3/4 x 8 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches and weighs just over 3 3/4 pounds.
