Description: Description This is a magnificent piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It was originally located in the Master Bedroom as a built vanity with his and hers closets to either side. It is made of walnut and is unpainted. The recessed center section is backed with a flat mirror. Below is a marble top washstand and backsplash, the basin and 2 side backsplash pieces of marble are missing. There are 2 drawers and a small cabinet at the bottom, the cabinet door is missing, I might have a replacement to fit. To either side are the closet areas each faced with a door with a full length beveled mirror. There is a drawer below each door, both have Eastlake spoon carving. The 4 legs have bracketed feet, fluted pilasters and are topped with fluted corbels. Pediments across the top have fluting and round applied embellishments. The crowns have a fishscale molding and Eastlake carved brackets. There are carved brackets at the top of the recessed sink area. Magnificent piece. It measures 125 inches wide overall by 105 inches tall and 21 deep at the sink lip. It disassembles to load into a cargo van or pick-up truck. This is a face only, the closet areas do not have backs or outside sides. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are some light cracks and chips. The 2 drawers below the doors will need to be rebuilt. The hinge pins will need to be replaced. The right side has a return molding at the top, the left was flat against a wall. Please look at the pictures carefully. Trips to NYC and New England are as needed. We can personally deliver if you are somewhat close to these routes much cheaper than freight or uship.
