Description: This is an antique African Turkana tribal people's hand wrought iron wrist knife also called Ararait made and worn like a bracelet mostly by men of the Turkana tribe of Kenya. This fighting round shaped wrist knife was worn on the right arm and may look like a tribal adornment but when the thin goat leather outer strip was removed these weapons were used for brutal fighting in close combat and also they were used for more innocent everyday utilitarian purposes like eating meat. This traditional weapon bangle measures 15.50 inches around the outer circumference.
