Description: Early Art Nouveau Gas Lamp ShadeAcid Etched / Frosted Up for auction is an antique, acid etched, frosted, Early Art Nouveau Glass Lamp Shade, with a round ball or globe shape, made to be used with a gas chandelier. Etched along the outside of the bowl of the shade is a repeated floral design. The shade has four air, breather or vent holes, to let out the heat. It stands approximately 4.75 inches tall, and the width of the globe at its widest point measures approximately 4.5 inches across. The exterior diameter of the base of the shade measures just under 3.5 inches across, for a 3.5 inch fitter.The Gas Shade is in great vintage condition, with no cracks, chips, scratches, stains, discoloration or repairs, nor any other damage that I can detect.
