Description: ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY FRENCH GOLD JASPER CHALCEDONY AMETHYST DESK SEAL, VACANT Description An antique French desk seal, dating to the second half of the 19th Century. The seal is of carved and faceted amethyst, with a red jasper (chalcedony) handle joined by a gold repousse collar. The amethyst seal is vacant, the collar unmarked but tests as gold. Dimensions:Length: 5.7 cm or 2 1/4 inchesWeight: 10 grams Condition:In very good antique condition, without damage or restoration. The amethyst seal end moves very slightly within the gold collar, but is secure. Please see the images provided which complement this description.
