Description: Antique 1880-1910 Scrappy THE ANVIL Quilt 88401 This listing is for a vintage The Anvil quilt. Judging by the fabrics used, I would estimate the top portion to be from between 1880-1910. The backing and binding are probably from the 1940s or 1950s. The quilt measures approximately 49" X 68". The quilt is previously owned. The fabric appears to be cotton. The blocks appear to have been assembled by hand. The quilting was done by hand. Quilting stitches average 8 stitches per inch, counting both the top and bottom stitches. I have seen no holes or fabric deterioration. There are some stains that I have not tried to clean. This quilt would make an excellent addition to your collection. I appreciate that buyers would like to buy for the best price possible, but half-price offers are never considered or acknowledged. Thanks for understanding.
