Description: I couldn't resist this when I saw it at an estate sale: a small bowl with a whimsical design of two cats! This combines two favorites of mine - cobalt blue on white, in a design of a larger cat and kitten snuggled together in a basket, inscribed 'in a soft place.' The bowl was made by Wm. Adams of England, as labeled on the back. It is also marked 'dodo design.' The bowl measures 4.75" in diameter and has a shallow bowl, with the sides rising about an inch. The bowl is smooth inside, and the design occupies most of the inside. The blue is very crisp against the pure white. The design has an antique look to it, with the kitties wearing ribbon bows. But it is recently made, as Adams introduced Micratex in 1963. This bowl is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks (a little crazing on the back) and no edge damage. This would be adorable to display, or to use as a container on your desk or dresser. And it would make a lovely gift!
