The book features original India ink and watercolor artwork on the flyleaf, depicting Babe Ruth after hitting a home run, with a ghostwriter in the background asking, “What else Mr. Ruth do you wish to write today?” Ruth’s humorous reply, “Just tell ‘em I got hold of a fast one an’ knocked the S.O.B. over the fence,” adds a personal touch. The artwork is signed “For Ralph Alexander with best wishes” and autographed by Christy Walsh, Ruth’s ghostwriter and press agent.
