Description: A fabulous & very rare 1938 Shelley "Eisteddfod Cardiff" Ash Tray. Hand enamelled decoration on transfer celebrating the 1938 Eisteddfod which was held in Cardiff, Wales. Gold trims. White ground. Please see the matching loving cup & mug which I currently have listed. The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark. Dimensions: diameter of base 58mm (2.25 inches) / diameter at widest point 108mm (4.25 inches) / height 40mm (1.5 inches). Condition: In very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, scratching, rubbing or signs of wear. A little faint light crazing located to the interior base. All enamelling and gilding is in very order with no fading to the pattern.
