Description: Here we have 8 'O' scale 2 rail Athearn or Weaver wheel sets---enough to furnish two freight cars. The wheels are plastic and the axles are metal, with pointed ends. These are the standard wheels that come with Athearn 'O' scale trucks and Weaver 2 rail trucks as well. These wheelsets need a good cleaning. Some were painted carelessly. But the price fits the condition. I usually clean parts like this with a Q-Tip dipped in acetone. It works rather well. Maybe you plan to sell off some rolling stock equipped with Athearn Trucks and the expensive metal Intermountain or NW Shortline wheel sets?? You can keep those beloved wheel sets and replace them with these cheapo ones. You can order more sets without paying any additional shipping.
