But then in the Summer of 1945 Martha traveled again with Jack Benny and his USO shows for a short tour in Germany. This tour included Jack Benny, Ingrid Berman, Larry Adler and Martha. Lawrence Cecil Adler (1914-2001) was an American harmonica player. Known for playing major works, he played compositions by George Gershwin, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Malcolm Arnold, Darius Milhaud and Arthur Benjamin. He was touted as the Best Harmonica Player in the World! During his later career, he collaborated with Sting, Elton John, Kate Bush and Cerys Matthews.Jack Benny (1894-1974) was an American entertainer who evolved from a modest success playing violin on the vaudeville circuit to one of the leading entertainers of the twentieth century with a highly popular comedic career in radio, television, and film.Ingrid Bergman (1915-1982) was a Swedish actress who starred in a variety of European and American films, television movies, and plays.
