However, thanks to technological advancements in the design and minting process, Liberty now encompasses some of Weinman's original details that were not previously possible! The Silver Eagle Type 2 reverse was designed by the artist Emily Damstra and sculpted by U.S. Mint Engraver Michael Gaudioso. It features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to it's nest.
